THOR.ODIN-Dev Update #7
This is probably our biggest update so far!
First of all we would like to give a massive round of applause to the dev team THORChain, @9realmscapital and all the node operators who have been through one fire test after another. To follow up on all updates regarding dev and community please make sure to follow THORNOOB, they have great and regular information on all things THORChain related. Really something else seeing how the team and community handle all and any issues that arise real-time.
On this update we have worked many functions that we have wanted on the platform for some time now. We also went through the entire platform bug hunting.
Swap/Add/Withdraw/Pending txn /Send
Now you can do all basic functionalities from within Decentralfi we have integrated exclusively with xdefi, we also have a working version with keystore files and walletconnect but decided best not to use, might release later. At the time we have only enabled the functionality within Testnet, although it is ready for Chaosnet. We would really like some testing to happen before enabling chaosnet functionality. Feel free to report bugs here, we will distribute some rewards to the 3 users that contribute the most, please make sure to leave your email or twitter handle so we can reach out.
Testnet and Chaosnet on production.
Easily switch from Testnet to Chaosnet, for data and all other functionalities. We had this functionality only on the development site but we figured it makes sense to have it on production so all users can explore and test directly on Testnet without having to use real funds.
Liquidity
We also improved our liquidity tracking app you can follow your wallet with only the manual input of your address, no need to connect your actual wallet, although it also works if you do connect your wallet. Go to connect your wallet select manual and input your Thor address, we query any and all positions from that main thor adddress(no need for non thor addresses to be added). We also track your portfolio, all assets outside of your LPs.
Slippy
This one we are proud of for sure. Our first bot. This is a simple slippage protection bot. Why pay 1% for a transaction when you can pay a fraction of that. We will allow users to save big on larger transactions with our automated slippage protection. We run some maths in the background to calculate what the ideal swap will be depending on the swap size, chain gas and pool you are swapping to and fro. Slippy automatically calculates the number of trades and size of the trades to optimize for cost of total transaction, it builds all your transactions you only need to approve. You can test it on Testnet (any large swap will ask if you want slippage protection), we are still finishing some minor UI details, and some more tests need to be run, but other than that all functionality is ready to go, feel free to test it and let us know what you think. Arby
Slippy’s younger brother, Arby, our arbitrage bot is ready for action but we have been slow to release it. It is already integrated with Binance DEX and we are looking to integrate it with some other CEXs that have Rune markets for triangulation of arb opportunities. We will also make it work for synths. This is only working on the backend but might consider letting users partake of Arby’s functions in the future.
Bugs
So many bugs were totally squashed, the last two iterations have been focused solely on bug detection and correction, not even worth mentioning here. But rest assured that we are constantly looking to improve our work so you don't have to experience any of the bugs.
Dashboards 2.0
We are working on some new dashboards to retire our original dashboards. We really think you are gonna like them. These new dashes are so flexible and customizable that you will have no need to ever leave Decentralfi. You will be able to have the dashboard you want and how you want it. We are betting big on this, if all goes well most of our future development will be based on this new interface, for data/ apps / bots / wallets and other cool stuff.
Network state
Nothing fancy but just some more functionality to let you know the state of the network and its associated chains. We are constantly looking for ways to inform users of the current state of the network, from Mimir and even the active queue to make sure you interact at the best possible time with THORChain. Remember that TC is not your run of the mill exchange. It is the first truly multichain decentralized exchange and AMM to ever work with all major coins in the cryptosphere! So proceed accordingly, and be informed.
